Caixin Summit: Former Vice Minister Calls For Global Sustainability Disclosure Standards

Former Vice Finance Minister Zhu Guangyao called for a set of “high-quality” and globally recognized sustainability disclosure standards at the 13th Caixin Summit on Saturday, as different global norms have confused cross-border listed companies and investors.

In a pre-recorded video address delivered at the annual summit, Zhu said that “developing a set of high-quality, understandable, enforceable and globally accepted sustainability disclosure standards” is important for market participants to make decisions and for countries and regions to achieve their public policy goals.
