Shanghai, Hangzhou Join Ranks of Chinese Regions Easing Covid Rules
More regions in China have eased coronavirus testing requirements, following a handful of major cities that relaxed rules last week, the latest sign the country is accelerating its shift away from its “zero-Covid” policy.
From Monday, residents of Shanghai and the eastern province of Shandong will no longer need to show a negative nucleic acid test result when entering outdoor public venues or riding public transportation. However, people living in Shanghai must still show a green health code that indicates no risk of infection.
