China Should Drop‘Zero-Covid’Charges Against Medical Workers, Professor Says

A Chinese legal expert has defended medical personnel who treated Covid patients in violation of then valid disease control rules before the country’s abrupt policy reversal, calling them “innocent” and urging prosecutors to drop charges against those awaiting trials.

There have been a number of cases of medical institutions illegally admitting fever patients under previous Covid rules. Some of these institutions and their staff have been placed under investigation, but have not yet been punished.
