Chinese gaming giant NetEase Inc. announced it will use chatbot-like generative artificial intelligence to create dialogue in a martial arts mobile game, as more companies seek to capitalize on the buzz created by U.S. firm OpenAI’s ChatGPT.

The official account of Justice Online (“Ni Shui Han” in Chinese), a NetEase computer game that will soon be released for mobile devices, posted an article on Twitter-like platform Weibo on Wednesday teasing AI-powered dialogue systems that will be integrated into the game’s nonplayer characters (NPCs).
