One of China’s most renown economists and reformers, Li Yining, died at the age of 92 in Beijing on Feb. 27.

Li became world renown for his achievements in Chinese economic reform and academia. The famous economist also served as senior professor of philosophy and social sciences at Peking University and founding dean of the university’s Guanghua School of Management.
