Guo Wengui Adviser Sought by U.S. in $1 Billion Fraud Conspiracy

As fugitive Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui was arrested in New York Wednesday, his long-time financial adviser and alleged co-conspirator William Je also faces U.S. criminal charges.

Je, 56, is currently at large. Also known as Kin Ming Je, he allegedly helped Guo in a $1 billion fraud conspiracy. Je was charged with the same 11 counts of federal criminal charges as Guo, plus obstruction of justice, the U.S. Justice Department said Wednesday in a statement.
