An anti-corruption crackdown is rattling China’s energy sector as five executives from several industry giants backed by the central government fell under graft investigation.

The Communist Party’s top graft buster, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), unveiled a series of investigations Wednesday targeting senior managers at centrally owned state enterprises, including five from the energy sector.
