Apple CEO Meets With China Commerce Chief to Talk Supply Chain

(Bloomberg) — Apple Inc. Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook met with China’s Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao Monday, underscoring the importance of the relationship between the leading U.S. consumer tech company and its key partner despite heightened tensions between Washington and Beijing.

“Both sides exchanged views about Apple’s development in China and stabilizing the industry supply chain,” Wang’s ministry said in a statement on the meeting. Wang also told the Apple CEO that China will continue to open up and provide good services to foreign businesses including Apple.
