China’s Ministry of Commerce launched an investigation of Taiwan’s restrictive trade practices affecting more than 2,400 mainland products, the ministry said Wednesday.

The Commerce Ministry will look into import restrictions imposed or planned by Taipei against 2,455 types of imports from the mainland spanning agricultural goods, textiles and mineral-chemical products, according to a statement (link in Chinese) published by the ministry.
