With Brazil’s president visiting China this week, the South American country is seeking to bolster agricultural cooperation with the Asian nation to ensure global food security and improve supply chain resilience, its minister of agriculture said.

The trip also aims to revitalize relations with China, Brazil’s Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Carlos Favaro told Caixin in a written interview in late March, adding that more commercial opportunities will grow from a “resumption of fraternal ties.”
