Opinion: Japan’s G-7 High Wire Act

Japan is preparing to contribute to global rulemaking as Prime Minister Fumio Kishida hosts the Group of Seven leaders in Hiroshima from May 19 to 21. To do so it will have to push an agenda that can effectively engage with China for the better, keep a distracted United States locked into a productive role in the international economy and involve emerging market economies.
