While some foreign companies are leaving China, such relocations may not be as widespread as the news would make them seem, as evidenced by the fact that German companies invested a record 11.5 billion euros ($12.6 billion) in the country last year.

However, it is essential for China to acknowledge that the relocations will have far-reaching effects, particularly in the electronics and semiconductor industries. To address this issue effectively, the country should seize the many opportunities that still exist to minimize the adverse effects.
