Opinion: Infertility Isn’t Just About Women

India’s population has been projected to surpass China by the end of April as the world’s most populous country, partly due to China’s falling fertility rate which recorded the first negative rate of population growth in 61 years.

This begs the question: how can the fertility rate in China be improved? So far, the focus has been primarily on the willingness (or otherwise) of couples to have children, and less so on those who are unable to conceive. The focus has also been primarily on women, with less attention paid to men’s health and fertility.
