China, U.S. Agree to ‘Effectively’ Manage Differences as Top Diplomats Meet in Beijing

China and the U.S. agreed to “effectively” manage differences and maintain high-level interactions during “candid” talks between Foreign Minister Qin Gang and his U.S. counterpart Antony Blinken in Beijing Sunday, according to statements by the Foreign Ministry and the U.S. State Department.
Blinken’s two-day visit to China is the first by a top U.S. diplomat in nearly five years. The trip had been delayed after the alleged Chinese surveillance balloon incident in February.
