ENCOUNTER: The Inaugural France-China Culture and Tourism Forum Reignites Sino-French Cooperation Post-Pandemic

The inaugural France-China Culture and Tourism forum, dubbed RENCONTRE (Encounter), was held in the Paris suburb of Neuilly on June 19, 2023.

French Minister of Tourism, Mrs. Grégoire, who was traveling in the province, sent a warm greeting via a pre-recorded video message. She expressed joy that the pandemic had receded, noting that it was time to bolster new Sino-French cooperation. She praised the theme of Encounter and emphasized the vital role of culture and tourism as avenues for strengthening ties between France and China. She also pointed out that this serves as an excellent precursor to the 60th anniversary of Sino-French diplomatic relations in 2024.
