Hong Kong May Lower the Bar for Top Talent Visas

What’s new: Hong Kong is considering easing the threshold for its plan to attract talent to include graduates from more Chinese mainland and overseas schools that are not among the world’s top 100 universities, Chief Executive John Lee said Tuesday.

The Top Talent Pass Scheme, launched in December, has received 32,040 applications. About 67% of them were approved, and more than 7,000 people entered Hong Kong to activate their visas, data from the Immigration Department showed.
