What’s new: Wu Hansheng, a former senior graft buster at the Communist Party of China, has become the first minister appointed to the newly established Social Work Department of the Central Committee, which is tasked with better handling public complaints nationwide.
The appointment was made public in a Saturday news story published in the Legal Daily, the official newspaper of the party’s Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission, saying Wu had presided over a training seminar attended by provincial and ministerial-level officials in that capacity.
