The former head coach of the Chinese national men’s soccer team has been charged in Hubei province with five crimes including bribery as China’s wide-ranging campaign against corruption in the sport continues.

Li Tie, 46, was charged with separate counts of offering and accepting bribes as a state employee and as a non-state employee, as well as being in charge of or directly related to an entity that’s suspected of offering bribes, according to a Wednesday statement from the provincial prosecutor’s office.
