Gu Jiangang, former asset management chief of Industrial & Commercial Bank of China Ltd. (ICBC), was placed under investigation by the country’s top graft watchdog.

An inspection team dispatched by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) to the bank disclosed the investigation Wednesday, citing “suspicion of serious violation of law and discipline.” Caixin reported exclusively last week that Gu was out of touch.
