What’s new: Most American companies operating in China reported full or partial recovery of their businesses from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, and more than half voiced optimism about China’s growth prospects, a survey showed.

Among the 185 companies in the survey conducted by the American Chamber of Commerce in South China between May and June, 92% said they somewhat or fully recovered from the pandemic, and 49% said they experienced significant or slight increases in revenue in the first quarter of 2023, up 16% from last year.
