Huawei Launches Updated AI-Powered Voice Assistant

What’s new: Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. has launched an improved voice assistant for its handsets with the latest release of its mobile operating system, reflecting its ambition to rebuild its presence in the smartphone market.

Trained on Huawei’s artificial intelligence (AI) models, the new version, named Celia, is able to communicate with users through texts, images and documents, as well as voice, the Shenzhen-based tech giant said during its annual developer conference Friday.
