What’s new: Chinese President Xi Jinping called for South Africa and China to strengthen exchanges and cooperation between their legislatures, political parties, militaries and localities and to continue supporting each other on issues concerning core interests.
Xi made the remarks in a meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa Tuesday on a state visit to the African country, where he will also attend the 15th BRICS summit in Johannesburg. The bloc comprises Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
