China Visit ‘Excellent Start’ to Resolve Trade Issues, U.S. Commerce Secretary Says

U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo wrapped up her four-day China trip Wednesday, concluding a visit she called an “excellent start” for the world’s two largest economies to work together in resolving trade issues and reducing tensions.
The establishment of new high-level dialogue channels between the two countries’ commerce departments will increase communication and could “reduce miss assessment, miscalculation and unnecessary tension,” said Raimondo.
