Everbright Group’s business spans banking, securities and other financial and nonfinancial sectors

China Everbright Group Ltd. named Wu Lijun to be the state-owned financial conglomerate’s Communist Party chief and chairman, ending a three-month vacancy.

Wu was deputy party head and vice chairman of Everbright Group for nearly four years. Everbright reported his elevation Thursday in an internal meeting with employees, Caixin learned. His appointment is expected to be formally announced by party authorities soon, the company said.
