Premier Li Qiang has proposed a conference next year for East Asian economies to discuss further integrating regional supply chains to make them more efficient and resilient while leveraging their comparative advantages.

Premier Li Qiang made the recommendation in Jakarta on Wednesday while speaking at the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Plus Three (APT) Summit — a gathering of ASEAN members, China, Japan, and South Korea. He also suggested an additional seminar in 2024 to discuss digital solutions for the region’s supply chains.
