China’s car sales regained momentum last month, largely driven by automakers’ price cuts and government support measures.
Sales of China-made passenger cars totaled 2.27 million in August, rising by 8.2% from July when deliveries plunged 7.4% month-on-month and 3.4% year-on-year. The figure is also up 6.9% from August 2022, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) in a Monday report.
