In a fresh attempt to buttress China’s wilting stock market, the nation’s top financial regulator has allowed insurance companies to invest more money in listed equities without having to set aside extra capital.
New measures released by the national administration of financial regulation (NAFR) on Sunday lowered the risk weightings of certain blue-chip and tech stocks for insurance firms.
