Recently, some employees of the Tianjin Bus Group reported that their employer owes them back wages and has stopped making social security contributions on their behalf.

The municipality’s government has yet to publicly address this.

That fact that this has occurred in Tianjin, a municipality that has long served as the economic center of northern China, is startling.
