Tornadoes Kill 10 in Coastal Chinese Province

What’s new: Ten people have died after two tornadoes ripped through East China’s Jiangsu province, state media reported Wednesday.
One twister struck Suqian and the other hit Yancheng on Tuesday, killing five people in each city, state broadcaster CCTV reported. Another four people were seriously injured and four suffered minor injuries.
In Yancheng, which sits on the coast, the tornado also caused torrential rain in two towns, toppling thousands of trees, destroying crops. Ultimately, nearly 1,400 people were affected, with 614 houses damaged, the reports said.
