Ex-China Deputy Central Bank Governor Charged With Bribery

What’s new: Former deputy central bank governor, Fan Yifei, has been officially charged with bribery by public prosecutors, state media reported, with alleged crimes dating back almost three decades.

Prosecutors in Huanggang, Hubei province said Fan had assisted others in getting loan financing, business contracts and job transfers and accepted “a particularly large amount” of assets in return, according to a Wednesday report from state-owned Xinhua News Agency.
