China Baowu Steel Names Company Veteran as New General Manager

The world’s largest steel producer, China Baowu Steel Group Corp. (China Baowu), has announced its new general manager, as the state-owned behemoth undergoes transformation amid falling demand from property construction and pressure to cut carbon emissions.

Hou Angui, who was serving as China Baowu’s vice general manager, has been promoted to general manager and deputy party secretary of the group, according to an article published on the company’s official WeChat account Thursday.
