Former State Council Official Named Chairman of China Eastern Airlines

What’s new: Former State Council official Wang Zhiqing has been named chairman of China Eastern Air Holding Co. Ltd. (CEA Holding), filling a position that has been vacant for more than a year.

Wang, 57, also took up the post of Communist Party group chief at CEA Holding, according to a notice published on the company’s website on Monday. CEA Holding is the controlling shareholder of China Eastern Airlines Corp. Ltd. (600115.SH), one of China’s “big three” state-owned airlines.
