Israel Should Stop ‘Collective Punishment’ of Gaza, Wang Yi Says

Israel’s actions in its war with Hamas have “gone beyond self-defense” and its “collective punishment” of the people in Gaza should stop, Foreign Minister Wang Yi said.

During a phone call with Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud Saturday, Wang said all parties should refrain from taking action that could aggravate the situation, while urging relevant parties to return to the negotiating table as soon as possible.
