Veteran Securities Regulator Expelled From Communist Party

Zhu Congjiu, a former vice governor of eastern China’s Zhejiang province and a long-time securities regulator, was expelled from the Communist Party for violations including bribery and abuse of power.
In a statement published Tuesday, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) accused Zhu of showing “indifference to discipline and law, being extremely greedy and profiting from finance with his positions.”
