The high-profile meeting between the presidents of China and the U.S. this week in San Francisco signaled “rapprochement and cooperation” between the world’s two largest economies, Caixin Media Publisher Hu Shuli said at a roundtable on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.

“The meeting provides an anchor that helps the most important bilateral relation[ship] avoid being disrupted by sudden shocks or drifting too far away from the right track,” Hu said at the Caixin APEC Roundtable dinner Thursday.
