President Xi Jinping visited Shanghai on Tuesday and Wednesday, his first trip there in three years, with his official itinerary highlighting his focus on finance, technological innovation and affordable housing.

Xi visited the Shanghai Futures Exchange, a sci-tech innovation exhibition and a government-subsidized rental housing community, the state-run Xinhua News Agency reported.
