Activity in China’s manufacturing sector returned to expansion in November, growing at the fastest pace in three months amid stronger domestic demand, a Caixin-sponsored survey showed Friday.
The Caixin China General Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI), which gives an independent snapshot of the sector, climbed to 50.7 in November from 49.5 the previous month. A reading above 50 signals an expansion in activity, while a number below that indicates a contraction.
