Alibaba Boss Eddie Wu Named CEO of E-Commerce Unit

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. has named co-founder Eddie Wu as CEO of its core e-commerce unit Taobao and Tmall Group (TTG), adding to his four current roles at the Chinese tech giant.

Wu has taken over from Trudy Dai, who is also an Alibaba co-founder, the company announced Wednesday. He is already CEO of Alibaba, chairman of the e-commerce business, and chairman and CEO of the cloud intelligence division, following a major company restructuring that kicked off in March.
