A retired Communist Party chief of China’s flag carrier Air China Ltd. has become the latest target of graft investigators as an anti-corruption crackdown sweeps the country’s civil aviation sector.
Fan Cheng, who retired from Air China seven years ago, has been placed under investigation “on suspicion of serious violations of law,” said the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection Thursday. The top graft buster didn’t explain the reasons behind the investigation, but the phrase often refers to corruption.
