What’s new: A retired deputy general manager of Dongfeng Motor Group Co. Ltd. is under investigation for corruption, joining several others at the Chinese automaker who have been caught up in a campaign targeting state-owned companies.
Tong Dongcheng is suspected of “serious violations of (Communist Party) discipline and law,” a common euphemism for corruption, according to a statement published Friday by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, the party’s top graft investigator.
