State-owned financial conglomerate Citic Group Corp. has appointed veteran banker Zeng Qi as its new vice president to oversee its securities and life insurance units, sources with knowledge of the matter told Caixin.

Zeng is a former head of the Personal Banking Department at Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Ltd. (ICBC), the world’s largest bank by assets.
