China and US Start Working Group to Combat Flood of Fentanyl

(Bloomberg) — Talks aimed at stopping the flow into the United States of illegal drugs such as fentanyl, and the chemicals used to make them, were held for the first time at a meeting of a working group of Chinese and American officials.

“We reached common understanding,” China’s Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong said Tuesday, describing the talks in Beijing as “professional” and “pragmatic.”
