Pentagon adds 17 Chinese entities to blacklist

The U.S. Department of Defense has added China’s leading memory chipmaker and 16 other entities, including prominent players in artificial intelligence (AI), energy and automobiles, to a list of companies it accused of having links to the Asian nation’s military, Bloomberg reported. The Pentagon accused the entities of having direct or indirect operations in the U.S. that are connected to the Chinese military, marking a continued escalation in the tech tensions between the two countries.
