What’s new: Sun Zhigang, former Communist Party chief of Guizhou province in Southwest China, has been expelled from the party for “serious duty-related violations” including meddling with judicial activities and suspected bribery, authorities announced.
Sun allegedly took advantage of his positions to help others get project contracts and subscribe to share offerings, illegally accepting money and gifts in return, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) said in a Monday statement.
