Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. launched a new vertically folding smartphone, the Pocket 2, on Thursday in a renewed push into the foldables market.

The new model is equipped with satellite SMS capability and a quad-camera setup, which Huawei confirmed is an attempt to appeal to its female customers’ preference for smaller devices. The phone will go sale on March 1 on the Chinese mainland, retailing from 7,499 yuan ($1,042).
