The crash occurred as pupils were returning to school after their lunch break
Two people were killed and six severely injured when a car careered into a group of schoolchildren on Friday afternoon in Dezhou, eastern China’s Shandong province.
The crash happened at about 1:40 p.m. in Anjuyuan, a residential area in Decheng District, west Dezhou. The driver, a 46-year-old male, was detained at the scene, the district public security bureau said in a statement.
