Editorial: Bolstering and Enhancing the Upward Trend in China’s Economic Recovery

At this year’s “Two Sessions,” Premier Li Qiang outlined a clear blueprint for developing Chinese society and the economy in this year’s Government Work Report. In the section on General Requirements and Policy Directions for Economic and Social Development in 2024, the report explicitly states the need to “effectively enhance economic vitality, prevent and defuse risks, improve social expectations, bolster and enhance the upward trend in economic recovery, and continuously push for a qualitative and effective improvement and reasonable quantitative growth in the economy.”
