Chinese Communist Party Diplomat Calls for ‘Constructive’ China-U.S. Ties

Mutual respect, peaceful coexistence and win-win cooperation are the basis for the development of constructive China-U.S. relations, Communist Party diplomat Liu Jianchao told Caixin at a forum in Singapore Wednesday.

Liu, head of the International Department of the party’s Central Committee, called on Beijing and Washington to do everything in favor of the peoples of both countries and refrain from doing anything that could damage the relationship.
