What’s new: Over 670 Chinese citizens suspected of involvement in illegal cross-border gambling and telecom fraud will be deported from Cambodia to China this month, as the two nations launch a joint crackdown on such crimes.
On Saturday, the first batch of 130 deportees landed in Wuhan, Central China’s Hubei province, the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) said in a Saturday statement. The other suspects will be repatriated over the following four days, flying out of Cambodian capital Phnom Penh, state broadcaster CCTV revealed in a separate report.
