China’s Youth Struggle to Find Work Despite Drop in Jobless Rate

China’s urban unemployment rate came down slightly to 5.2% in March, but unemployment among 25 to 29-year-olds jumped from last month’s 6.4% to 7.2%, showing the ongoing struggle young people face in finding jobs in the cities.

The overall jobless rate in March was down 0.1% percentage points from February and the same period last year, and the first quarter rate stood at 5.2%, down 0.3 percentage points from last year, official data showed.
